Introduction of Construction Industry one of the exam-based. I studied this semester (exam-based subject is rare in FNBE) and this subject is worth studying. It's give us student a lot of information about player in construction industry and how a project progressing.
At the end of the subject, I do learnt how the construction industry run and what's all the problem existing in current scene.
Below are review of assignments and project I did in this semester.
Assignment 1 : Mindmap about overview of construction industry.
This is almost the very first assignment that we require to do in this semester. It was a group work and we (me and my friends) worked very well. We require to summarize the infomation we learnt in lecture 1 and lecture of this subject and then present it in an A3 size mindmap.
We design the mindmap with the plumbing system as the branches. Which the tank on the top of the house act as the title to the mindmap. Then, branches down to toilet bowl, bathtub, sink and other sanitary equipments.
Assignment 2 : My hometown, My memories
This is another assignment which assign to us together with assignment 1, but it's an individual work. This assignment give me the chance to understand more about my city , Kajang. I'm a city-pride kind of kid. I born in this city and live in this city for so long and never had a chance like this to do research on here. So, this time, I decide to design this collage by drawing the map of Kajang, at first I have no idea how to do but after I collect all the infomation I research and do a city cruising and finally I start to do this thing.
Project : Problem in construction industry
Finally, here comes the final project !
We are require to film a video about the problem existing in current construction industry.
As everyone in our group doesn't want a normal acting and to show problem, it's just seems unattractive. Suddenly one of us come up with the idea of producing a talkshow, a talkshow that like ellen's show, oprah show, and other.
Since there's 4 guys 1 girl in our group, so claire will be the host, and we named her - "April", followed by me as the Architect, Yong Ging as the engineer, Sean as the interior designer, and Kai Jing be the constractor.
Each of the player has their own personality, which lead them to become who they are right now. In the story we design, it's about interviewing 4 major professions in construction industry and they are best friend since in the university. They own their own company right now and live their life successfully.
